12/15/09 -- THE BIG ANNIVERSARY/HOLIDAY PARTY at SWEET AROMA!!!!!!! --- We had a wonderful time! James and I hosted Marilyn, Sheila, Larry, Orland and Gene!!! It
would have been wonderful to see more members there, but... no. We did have our incredibly loyal listener members, Sara & Peter and Melissa & Mike as well as Laurel
and a few others. Barbara and her staff put on a spectacular all-you-can-eat spread for $5... you missed a swell time! :)
We also announced that we have an opportunity to record our compilation CD at a discounted price. Those who were at the Anniversary night will be able to participate!
More details will follow here as we get 'em!! (See what happens when you show up!!?!!?) :) :) :)

12/10/09 -- WE'RE BACK ON IN DECEMBER at The Celtic Cup!!! Chris had a cancellation, so we WILL hold our normal Circle on the 2nd Friday of the month -- THIS
Friday, 6 to 9pm. Come on out and enjoy each other... AND -- Chris says he'll even feed us! :) Yeah! ;) See you Friday!!!

12/03/09 - ANNOUNCEMENT! We will no longer be playing at SNAFU's on the last Monday of the month. We never were a good fit, and we think we've given it a good go --
but we will be looking for a new venue in Manchester to replace that date. I will try to make it Monday night, but may have to switch the day per the new place. Stay tuned!
In the meantime --- don't forget us at The Viola Valley Country Store and Restaurant tomorrow, Friday, December 4th. We start at 5:30!!! 1/2 hour earlier than usual -- so
come out for an early evening!
And LARRY!!!!! We can't find your # or email and---if you're coming---please bring the bigger sound system. We could really use it! :)

11/17/09 - Yes - falling down on the job! Actually - I had to switch computers and couldn't get Sitebuilder installed. But now all is well! :)
We had a wonderful night at The Celtic Cup on Friday the 13th! Thanks to those who showed up (great to see familiar faces!!!!). We'll be taking a break in December at
The Cup - lots of parties and such, but we'll be back there again in January! I hope you'll remember to come out and bring all your friends!!!! :) :) :)
Tuesday, the 17th was great at Sweet Aroma! 5 songwriters, and an audience to listen! :) What could be better?
OUR DECEMBER CIRCLE at SWEET AROMA!!!!! We will be having our Christmas Holiday/3rd Anniversary bash! Barbara will provide a light buffet for a set price (approx
$5), and we'll have Trivia! Prizes! And Lots Of FUN! Don't miss it!!!

10/26/09 - James and I held down the fort at SNAFU's this month... I'm still not convinced this is a place for us. It's such a big Karaoke place that people don't seem to get
the fact that we do all our own material. They'd rather hear Seger or Dylan... :| And since the membership isn't even showing up, we may have to re-think our 4th place to
play. If anyone has any ideas, let me know. I'd like to keep it in Manchester if possible. Thanks.

10/20/09 - Yes, I've been a little lax at the updates! :( But we've been having fun! :) Our night at The Celtic Cup was really fun! We had someone come in and grace us with
Indian Flute Music! (Check out the pictures toward the bottom of the page!) And our night at Sweet Aroma was wonderful! Now under new management, Sweet Aroma is
back! We had a really great crowd of listeners, and 5 songwriters in the house! :) If you haven't been to Sweet Aroma in a while, come on back and try us again!!!! :) :) We
had lots of fun on Tuesday, and we hope to see more of you there next time!

10/02/09 - We had an absolutely fabulous time in Viola! Judy & Harold could not have been nicer, there was a nice crowd of people to listen, and Trapper and Bard came
out to play and support the TSC. Not to mention the star of the night - Shawn!!! After all, it's her town! :) James and I could not have been happier with our first night there!
We hope to see more of you make the trip and come out to perform... it's well worth it! :) :) :)

09/28/09 - It was a pretty slow Monday night at SNAFU'S, but we had a great time! John Richardson came by and graced us with his talent!!! If you missed it, you really
missed a treat!!!! We'll be back at SNAFU'S on the 4th Monday night of October!! For all of you out there who kept complaining to us that Tullahoma was too far to go...
we've got a place in Manchester now!!!! Let's see you in October! :)

09/15/09 - Sweet Aroma on Tuesday was a blast! We had GREAT players, and WONDERFUL listeners! :) So good to see familiar faces in the crowd! Thanks for making
the night so fun!!!
James Bell will be playing on Friday, Sept. 18th, at the Warren County Fair starting at 4pm. :) :) :) If you're out and about, please do stop by to support our fellow songwriter!!!
And FYI - because I had no previous notice about the Fall Back Festival this year, by the time I saw the billboard and realized it was THIS WEEKEND, it was too late to
scramble to get us into it. Oh well. We'll have to make due with our Circles!!! :) :) :)

08/27/09 - Ok gang - this is me reading you the riot act! Where were you???? This was a brand new venue for the Songwriter's Circle and, with the exception of me,
James and Wally to play and Shawn to listen -- no Circle members came for support. We are trying to hold these weekly so you will have a place to play. But if you do not
support the effort -- I'm not sure how much longer we can keep it going. Please come out on Circle nights to support your local songwriters and your own songwriting
craft!!! Ok. Enough venting from me... :) Now.....
A little farther out from Jo Jo's Java, in Viola, TN is another brand new venue -- The Viola Valley Country Store and Restaurant. Our hosts, Judy & Harold Cook are very
excited to see us come out to hold our Circle at their establishment! This is a quaint little country store, with it's very own stage! Being sandwiched in-between Manchester
and McMinnville, this could be a GREAT place for songwriters to meet!!! So PLEASE make an effort to come out for the FIRST FRIDAY NIGHT in OCTOBER! It's a beautiful
drive! The food is down home wonderful! And they couldn't be nicer!!! Sooooo... 6 to 8pm on Friday, October 2nd!!!!! Be there! :) Thanks!

08/22/09 - It is official! We will no longer be able to hold our Circle at Jo Jo's Java. Carrie has closed her establishment. We'd like to thank her for all the great nights we
had there, and wish her all the best of luck.
We will be looking for another venue to hold a 4th Circle the 1st week of the month... We will keep you posted here as to our progress in that regard! :) In the meantime, we
have our three Circles going strong -- so please keep coming to those! You know we love to see you and to listen to your great songs!!!! Thanks to everyone who
particiates in our Circles... we are here for you! But we have a great time too!!!! Next Circle date is this coming Thursday, September 27th at the new place -- SNAFU's in
Manchester! Rumor has it that the management would like to change our night already to a Monday or Tuesday... So stay tuned here for any developments -- but for now --
we will be there THIS THURSDAY!!!! Hope to see you there!!!

08/14/09 - We are on a roll! :) The Celtic Cup was so much fun Friday night!!! We had players, we had listeners... it's what we've been striving for... just great get-togethers
for talented songwriters, with wonderful feedback from audiences... :) :) :) Thanks to Chris and Diane, our generous hosts at The Cup! We'll be back there the 2nd Friday
of September, the 18th! Hope well see you then!!!!

8/01/09 - Our night at Jo Jo's Java was absolutely AWESOME! So many players, so many people to listen!!! It was very cool! There are rumors abounding about whether
or not Jo Jo's is closing... I haven't gotten the official word on that yet... but I will let you know the status HERE as soon as I find anything out for sure! In the meantime -
thanks so much to all of you who have supported the TSC at Jo Jo's... we really have a great time there, and have been entertained by some GREAT singer/songwriters!
And thanks to Carrie, too, for all she's done to host us!!! Stay tuned....

07/10/09 - Thank you Wally!!!!! Wally Freeborn came with his "G" harp! :) Actually, he had his whole suitcase of harps, but because I was the only one there to sing for
three hours (hint hint) he had to rely mainly on G. :) (I swear I didn't realize I wrote so much in that key!!!!!) With two other members who came for support, we held the first
Friday night at The Cup. We really need to do better than this.... Let's get the word out that we've moved to the 2nd Friday!!!!!! See you at The Cup, August 14th!

07/04/09 - Happy Independence Day!!! I was "independent" alright... I was the only one there to play at Jo Jo's on Saturday! :( But I carried on! Don't let's loose this great

06/29/09 - Denise and Chris could not be nicer... or more understanding! Monday nights seem too hard to get anyone out, so they've asked us to play a Friday night!
SO..... We will be moving our Celtic Cup night to the SECOND FRIDAY of every month. Next date is July 10th!!! Come on out and play!!!!!

06/16/09 - Well, I'm not sure where everyone's gone at Sweet Aroma... but we had some really good music to play! Tho' we were pretty much playing for ourselves and the
staff, we had a good time! Ms. Marilyn brought a guitar and actually played her songs!!!! WoW! :) We LOVE when she does that!!!!!!
Next Circle will be on Monday, June 29th at the Celtic Cup in Tullahoma. 5-7pm. They've made a cool ad for us and everything (see the new logo above!) We will probably
be changing our day at "The Cup" to the 2nd Friday of every month, 6pm til... This will be a great opportunity for you to play your songs to a new crowd. Come on out and
join the fun!

05/25/09 - James and I held court at The Celtic Cup for Memorial day, joined by Wally Freeborn on harp! Tho' a small crowd, we had a lot of fun! The Cup wants us to
change to a Friday night, thinking there would be a larger audience for us -- if we do make the switch, we'll let you know here!

05/15/09 - Just a note of interest... our friends Jim & Inga Wood of the Tennesse Fiddle Orchestra and many other musical endeavors in the area will be performing at the
Wartrace MusicFest, May 29th and 30th. For more information and specific scheduling times, check out the website: www.wartracemusicfest.org Steve Kaufman is going

04/25/09 - James Bell and I represented the TSC and sang for the Go Green Tullahoma sponsored Earth Day event held at the Tullahoma Business Center. James and I
were the only musical entertainment and sang for 4 hours straight! :) (I know that's not a big deal for you ol' pro's out there, but it's been a while since I've done that -- can
you say horsey?) ;) But we had a nice turn out and we had a great time! (See the nice thank you piece from the paper in the TSC Press below...)
04/27/09 - We had our very first Circle at The Celtic Cup on this LAST MONDAY of April... we were well received and they look forward to seeing us back again on Memorial
Day, May 25th! So bring your patriotic songs and come join us at the Cup!!!! It's a beautiful new place to play! 5-7pm, on Memorial Day Monday... Don't miss it!!!
Of course before that happens, our next Circle will be on THIRD TUESDAY of the month, May 19th, at Sweet Aroma, 6-8pm. I know it's very confusing to remember such a
crazy schedule, but that's why I keep reminding you all the time!!! :) :) :) So see you Tuesday, the 19th at 6PM!!!! :)

04/21/09 - We had a great time at Sweet Aroma on our Tuesday night Circle... made some new friends and saw some familiar faces in the audience! Maybe now that the

03/17/09 - Erin go Bragh! :) Yes, we had our Circle in the Green on St. Patrick's Day at Sweet Aroma! With a nice crowd and to top it off... Pat in green braids! :) She even
had special St. Paddy's Day specials on the menu -- yumm! A fun time was had by all! :) :) :)

03/07/09 - We had a fabulous time at Jo Jo's on Saturday evening in Manchester! Songwriters, audience members and even a special guest performer stopped by! Do
you know what you're missing? If you missed us on Saturday, you missed a great night of music and fun! And great liabatiions! Jo Jo is serving wonderful coffee
concoctions, teas, and some interesting brewery beers.... Stop by and check it out! 7 to 9 PM, the FIRST Saturday of every month!

02/17/09 - Sweet Aroma was intimate yet productive! We got to meet and listen to our newest member, Shawn Smith! And we even played and sang harmonies on some
of each others songs. What fun! Hoping to repeat the performance in March -- we'll be there on St. Patrick's Day!!!! Come on out and have a virgin Irish Coffee! :) Love to
play your some Irish tunes... except I haven't written any! :) Have you? If you have -- come on out and play them for us!!!!

02/07/09 - Wow! We had an amazing night at Jo Jo's Java on Saturday!! Thanks to all those who came to play and a great BIG thanks to all those who came to listen! It's
so much fun when we have an audience!!! :) :) :) We were not only entertained with really good singers and songwriters, but we were treated to a wonderful performance
on sitar! You just never know what you'll find on a circle night!

01/20/09 - Happy New Year! Well, I've obviously sloffed off here for a little while with the updates! :( My bad! But we've been having great times at both our locations for the
Circle. Jo Jo's Java is rockin'! We're having great nights there on the 1st Saturdays of every month (next one coming up will be February 7th) and last night's Circle at
Sweet Aroma, tho' sparsely attended, was a blast! For those of you who didn't make it, you really missed something! Our newest member, Sheila Shavers treated us to
some wonderful songs. She's a talented singer/songwriter/guitarist and we're happy to have her join our ranks! :) Welcome, Sheila!
Next Circle at Sweet Aroma will be the 3rd Tuesday in February (bring your love songs! :)) on February 17th. Hope to see you then, and/or on the 7th at Jo Jo's!

11/18/08 - Our November Circle was small but true! :) Wonderful music from everyone who performed! We're hearing some great, great songs. Sweet Aroma is
turning into a "just us" kind of place, which is pretty fun too! :) Come out and sing your new songs!!!! We're having a blast!
EXTRA, EXTRA! One of our membership, Tony Durante, has completed his first CD! Ta Da!!!! :) Congratulations Tony! And he's ready to have you take a listen!

11/01/08 -- Well, because of my medical maladies, I missed the opening night of TSC at Jo Jo's Java -- but I understand that it was A SPECTACULAR night! :) Lots
of people and everyone had a great time!!! We are very encouraged by this!!!!!!! Hope you will spread the word and come out to the new venue on the first Saturday
evenings of the month in Manchester and bring all your friends!!!! :) :) :) Next Saturday date: December 6th! Coicidentally, that date is our 2nd Anniversary of the
Tullahoma Songwriter's Circle! Come celebrate with us!
Don't forget this month at Sweet Aroma! Tuesday night, the 18th of November from 6-8pm. We'll be there!!! And since we had such fun with the challenge last

10/09/08 - WE'VE DONE IT! We have found another venue for us to be able to perform at! It's Jo Jo's Java in Manchester! See the flyer above for details. We'll be
there EVERY FIRST (1st) SATURDAY evening 7-9pm. Now -- it's up to YOU! :) Sherry, James and I will kick it off for us on November 1st, but we need your support,
and possibly some players to round-robin with us in the slots on stage... We want to have a great showing, so come out to support the TSC!
MORE BIG NEWS! James Bell is a semi-finalist in the 2008 Dottie West Songwriting Contest being held this Saturday, October 11th in McMinnville, TN. Gate open
at 10am, the semi-finals start at HIGH NOON! (How Apropros!) ;) If you're out and about in McMinnville on Saturday -- go on out to support James!!!!! This is very
exciting!

Major kudos and my heartfelt thanks go out to Phillip Chessor for all his help and efforts for the Festival... I wouldn't have been able to do it without you! :) You are
definately the Circle MVP!!!!! Major thanks go out also to Julie Taylor and Marilyn Harris! Y'all get extra pics in your stockings this Christmas (wink wink)!! Thanks
so much for coming out and hanging with James and me!!!! We really appreciate it!
And so now comes a little scolding... don't you all feel ashamed of yourselves?? Well you should!!!! We were there for YOU! From 9:30 in the morning until 11:30
at night! And only 3 members out of 49 showed up to help and support the Songwriter's Circle. This is YOUR Circle... a place for you to show off your talents and
your music... if you don't support your own organization, then it's going to be really hard to keep it going... I realize that some of you are working and can't make it all
the time, but that can't be the case for everyone... please try to show some better support for the Circle so we can keep this going! When it works, it really is a great
thing!!!! (see the picture of the "new potential member"). That's what we're here for!!!!! :) :) :)

9/22/08 - Getting ready for the Fall Back Festival 2008, we've come up with a new, easier-to-print logo to use on anything TSC related. It's above, so you can get a
look! We'll have it out at the "booth" on things to advertise us... we'll have our "official" logo too, but his one is someting to push us as "TSC". :) FYI.

09/16/08 - Well, we had a great time for our September Circle! 6 and sometimes 7 songwriters playing their songs and singing - lots of fun and - not to repeat
myself, but GREAT MUSIC!!!!! Really good songs we're pumping out here... wonder where the A&R guys are? :) Anyway, Sweet Aroma is graciously continuing to
host us, eventhough there aren't too many people coming to listen... we understand that people have other things going on Tuesday nights... but if you have a
chance, please stop by! We'd love to see you, even just to say hi! ;)
GREAT NEWS! See the poster above! The TSC has been invited to participate in the Fall Back Music Festival 2008 right here in Tullahoma. It's on September 27th
at Waggoner Park (right out on Rt. 55 past the armory), and it will be an all day affair -- 10:30am to 12:30am. We will have a "booth" area available -- we intend to
set it up like a Circle "meeting" where our members (and any potential members) can sit in the Circle and play their songs... an all day long open mic! And during
the times we don't have people to play, we are hoping to get members to let us use their CD's to play their music. We will be able to sell our music there, so if
you're a member of TSC and want to sell your CD's that day, contact me and let me know when you'd like to come by. I'm working on the particulars of exactly what
we'll do and what we'll try to "hock" but this is a real chance to try to "sell" the Circle! Come on and help us make a good showing!!!
And again -- I am asking that if you have pictures - posters - CD covers - anything that advertises you doing your music (and you are a member!), please contact me
so we can arrange to get that material togther and use it to promote the Songwriter's Circle.

08/19/08 - August was hot! :) And we had some steadfast souls who came to play songs!! Seven of us were in the circle, and we're hearing GREAT music!!!! Pass

07/15/08 - Our July Circle was delightful! Tho' we didn't have too many people to listen to us, we had EIGHT count 'em 8 :) songwriters to sing and play, with 2
potential new members!!! It was lots of fun! So now we look ahead to our August meeting, which will be on Tuesday, August 19th! Mark your calendars!! And plan
to be there with 20 of your friends (or just 1 would be great!!!) :) :) :)

05/20/08 - Well, we didn't have as many people as we'd hoped, but we had a very nice time on Tuesday!! James and I tried to out do each other with brand new
songs (we each had 4 or 5 I think!) so we had some competition going... and a potential new member showing up was wonderful and promising to see! :) We
hope to see more of you on Tuesday, June 17th. PLEASE! Mark the date! :) We NEED your support!!! :) :)
HOW DOES THIS SOUND? We are working on putting a songwriting/critiqueing afternoon together, where any members interested could sign up to bring a
specific song they would like to work on or talk about in a workshop-type setting. We will help with critique suggestions and/or ideas and possibly feedback from
the other members. If this sounds like something you would be interested in participating in, please drop me an email and let me know. I will put you on our list,
and we will send you specifics as soon as we get everything together. There will be the possiblity of performing your "tweeked" final song that same night on
stage! :) Stay tuned for more details, but please give us an idea if this is something you would be interested in....

We might have some news of a new place that will host us once a month for a showcase night! There would be 4 slots open for members who would want to
play. You would need to have enough material for an evening to round-robin with just 4 people, but it would be a great way to showcase your material and be able

03/11/08 - Well, for those of you who have been coming to support the Tullahoma Songwriters -- we thank you! But since there have been so few people coming
out lately, we may well lose our place to play! We're not sure how long Sweet Aroma will be able to host us if we can't bring them any business... so keep your

01/26/08 - I went to the Belvidere Market to honor our very own David Morrison, who has returned from Iraq. Franklin County made January 26th David Morrison
Day! We sang some songs and they had a band - they were showing Sgt. York on the back barn wall... :) Well, it's Belvidere! :) :) :) It was all very nice! And it was
nice to have David back safe and sound!! Sorry I could only stay a couple of hours, so I don't know if any of you made it there later, but if not - as an update - David
will be visiting friends and family for a few weeks in Ohio and New Mexico, and then we hope to see him back at the Circle! :) He sang some new songs that he
had written, but he also had his old hits, like the Walmart song... :)

****12/18/07**** Our One Year Anniversary and Holiday Party! We had a blast!!! Thanks to Patti and all the Sweet Aroma crew for their help and hard work to make
the night special for us! The food was great! And everyone had a wonderful time!!
For those who didn't make it, not only did some of our great songwriter members that we haven't seen in a while pop in on us, like John Richardson, Sid Ledbetter
and Charlie Robinson, but we were also graced with a special guest appearance by Jim & Inga Wood! Plenty of great music to fill out that extra hour of time!!! :)
Thanks for everyone's participation and support for our anniversary celebration!
Remember! We will be starting up again on Tuesday, January 8th since the next two Tuesdays are Christmas and New Year's! See you then!!

11/27/07 - It was the Tullahoma Songwriting Duo tonight as James and I played pass the ball! :) But we had a lot of fun -- even some new stories! And some of
our regular "fans" were there to cheer us on!
We announced our 1st Anniversary and Holiday party on December 18th! We hope you will try to make it! We will be joining Ms. Patti at Channel 6 on Tuesday

10/30/07 - Ooooooo.... :) Yes! We had our Halloween Songwriting Trivia Night! :) It was pretty fun! Even if every one said I went a little too far back in time with the
trivia... (ok - so - I'm old!) =] We still had fun, and it's rumored that some of the younger generation in the place may have even learned a thing or two... Imagine

10/02/07 - Ok. So. I'm a little lax at these updates sometimes.... :( But I do try! :) Last week, we were shocked and dismayed that James Bell wasn't in attendance.
1st time since we started in December!!!! But that impacted tooth thing was a really good excuse... He was back this week, a lot less swollen, playing in pain for the
team! Thanks James!! We all hope you're feeling better soon!
The stands for the speakers finally came in, along with the third mike stand, so we can use 3 mikes at one time. We have to share a guitar outlet - we'll have to
shuffle for more than one guitar, but so far it's working pretty well. That little teeny system is working pretty well!!! I get a kick out of some of the musicians coming
up to check it out, amazed that it works at well as it does... but hey! It may be compact, but for the space, it does ok!! :)
We are always so excited to see returning songwriters come in and share their beautiful work with us again! Hope more of you will pop on by and do the same.
The audiences are familiar faces too! The TSC is building it's own fan base! :) Thanks to everyone who supports us, including and most especially Pat and the

09/05/07 - Last night was lots of fun! Although it was our standard TSC trio for songwriters (Sherry, James and me), we had some new faces in the audience and
some brave returning souls and well as our most loyal fans! :) We even broke our own rules and sang a couple of surprise cover songs (somehow the
conversation turned to the Monkees and Shrek and, well -- what are you gonna do?) :) But we certainly had a good time!
I think I will be and Sherry may be performing at the end of the month for WMSR's Old Timer's Day... (see what we'll do to promote the Cirlce?) :) stay tuned for

07/31/07 - Yes, I know, I know... I've been slofin' off on the job!! I'm SO sorry. But then -- so have YOU guys!!! Where have you been?!? We've been there -- every
Tuesday... and we've been meeting some GREAT songwriters! If you're somewhere else, you're missing some great stuff!!!! :) When you get back from vacations
and summer school (oh my!), come on back around, 'cause we've been having FUN! :)
Sherry, James and I recorded a promo song for WMSR, so listen for it on the radio! ;) (maybe they'll mention TSC!)
Also, Sherry, James and I are appearing on Sunday, August 19th in the South Jackson Goes Country show at the Civic Center (we'll be in Act II) -- we're doing this to
promote the Circle, and we'll have some kids walking the banner on stage while we perform. Hopefully, that will be some good publicity!!! ;)
As we head into the end of summer, we continue to welcome new members! We're up to 43!

06/26/07 - I've fallen off the job! Sorry about that... that's what happens in the summertime, huh? Looks like lots of people have been really, really busy... things
have been a little slow, but we've still had a good time, and we've still met some new people!! We're growing little by little, and we hope to see everyone during the
summer!
We got the banner! It looks great!! We'll be using it anytime we appear in public to advertise the Circle. Hopefully, that will bring more attention to us as well!
Sherry, James and I auditioned as The Tullahoma Songwriter's Circle for the South Jackson Goes Country show, and looks like we'll be performing... we'll be using
the banner there!!!! :) So we'll welcome your support when that happens in August, and hopefully we can reach even more people then!!
One of our members, Kevin, will be getting the chance to do a demo of 4 of his songs soon. Very exciting and best of luck!
James, Sherry and I have written and will be recording a promotional jingle for 1320 Thunder WMSR, so listen for it soon! We hope that will give them the excuse to
mention the Circle every once in a while!! :)

04/10/07 - It was a slow start to our new Tuesday nights, but those that were there made it a fun night all the same! Make sure to pass the word that we will now be
doing Tuesday nights at 6pm instead of Wednesday!!!
We also got to meet one of our newest members, and we're hoping Tee will be coming more often and sharing her talent with us!
Notice the American Idol songwriting contest information listed above... if we're competing with AI, the least we can do is take advantage of it! :)

04/04/07 - We had a great night, and added 4 new members!! It was a really fun time with our regulars and some "new blood"! ;) Also, we saw some people who
just came in for a bite and to listen! Hope the word is getting out. And remember --- WE WILL NOW BE HOLDING TSC on TUESDAYS!!! Pass the word!!!

03/28/07 - We are toying with the idea of switching TSC nights to Tuesday instead of Wednesday... it seems as if that might make it easier for some people to
attend, because Wednesdays are hard for some people to attend. Let us know how you feel about it -- drop either me or Sherry an email and let us know!

03/21/07 - A slow start to the night, but it picked up at the end! Hope everyone had as good a time as we did!! We hope to see you ALL next week! :)
Sherry and I will be performing to promote the Circle at the grand opening of the Outdoor Show for Myers Pond on May 5th. They are a catch-and-release fishing

03/14/07 - Well, we've had a couple of good song nights... on the 7th we had a good crowd and a good time! The 14th was a little slower, but we still had 5
songwriters perform, and we had a fun session! Hope to see everyone next week -- with 20 of your closest friends to cheer you on! :) :) :)
Uhhhh, HUGE apologies to James Bell -- I hope he already knows how stupid and sorry Sherry and I feel -- we stood him up (completely innocently -- we both plain
forgot!) for the Channel 6 debut! But he did beautifully and went on with the show! We hear there are now some rumors floating around about us... so -- NO --
Sherry did NOT get arrested for possession and I'm NOT suffering from a DUI --- we both just had senior moments on the same day and plain forgot! SORRY
JAMES!!!!!!! We PROMISE it will never happen again! ;)
On another note -- James was able to get a demo cut with Sherry's help, so at least SOMETHING good came of it! :)

02/28/07 - No new members tonight, but we did have some new faces that came in to listen! The night went very well, with 3 other songwriters besides Sherry and

02/21/07 - Three new members tonight! Yea!!! We're hoping the word is getting out there... maybe it's just a matter of hanging in there until people can talk us up! :)
We have our first keyboardist!
Just a little note: remember that we wanted to provide a place for songwriters to share their material... a lot of songwriters are not necessarily singers and really
don't have to be... the point of this is to network and introduce songwriters to other musicians who might be able to collaborate or help you out (for instance, with
demo work etc.). Don't let it put you off if you feel you can't sing your song well enough... it's the song that's important here! :) So -- pass the word, and see you next

02/14/07 - Valentine's Day was a little slower than we would have liked, but we had another new songwriter show up to play and join our ranks! :) Slowly but surely

01/31/07 - Even though the threat of snow may have kept some people away, we still had a great night, with 3 other songwriters showing up to play, a couple in the

01/24/07 - Things are going great! We had one of our best nights ever, with 5 songwriters showing up, 3 of which are our newest members! Let's keep it going

01/10/07 - Some new members have joined our ranks... we're slowly but surely growing! It's great to see people coming back again and again. Let's keep the faith

Sherry and I were again on "Tullahoma Living" on Channel 6 to promote the circle! We were able to debut our "Circle of Songs"... we got some good response;
hope you all will join in and learn it too! :)

01/03/07 - Another member joining brings our total so far to 11. Not a bad start! The word is starting to get out there!
Channel 6 was on hand early in the evening to tape a little of "The Circle". Sherry and I will be making another appearance on Tullahoma Living this coming week
to promote the TSC! We are doing our best to let Tullahoma know that we're at Sweet Aroma, just waiting for more songwriters to come and play their stuff!
Watch for it soon!
Sherry and I have come up with a song just for us! Our very own TSC theme song, if you will! We call it "Circle of Songs" and we will be bringing songsheets to the
circle next week. Be prepared to sing along! :)

TSC News - 2006

12/27/06 - I guess I should start dating these entries if I'm going to keep 'em all! :) This was the last Wednesday of 2006, and though we're just getting started, we
feel like it's going just as we had hoped. The word's getting out slowly but surely!! We're having fun! So tell your friends, and all you writers out there - don't be
afraid to come out and join us! That's what we'd really like, is to hear YOU! :) Let's make 2007 our time in Tullahoma!

Thanks to everyone coming out on Wednesday and making such a memorable evening of it! It was what Sherry and I had originally thought it could be like -- 4
songwriters, round-robining it for the 2 hours time, along with a pop-in. (Will! Come back again, anytime you've written something - we'll be happy to listen!!) :)
Though we are hoping to get new membership, we reiterate that these nights are open to anyone who would like to attend to listen as well. Songwriters need an
audience to listen to what they've written! So if you'd just like to attend to listen to the music, that's fine too! You are more than welcome!!
Now that word is getting out a little bit, we're hearing rumors that we may start seeing some more people... Yea! ;) So let's keep it going! See you next Wednesday!

Our second gathering, though not quite as well attended as the first, was still fun and well received! Sherry and I were dueling songwriters, and were even able to
help each other out on some tunes. We had a good time, and the members who attended said they did too! The holidays may be hampering attendance right
now, but we have high hopes! :)
Sherry and I did get the article written up in the Tullahoma News (see below)! The Tullahoma Songwriter's Circle has arrived!

We had our first gathering of the Tullahoma Songwriter's Circle on Wednesday, December 6th. We are hoping to get more songwriters to venture out and join us!
Sherry and I were there to pick up the slack for when there are not enough songwriters to sing and play, so please don't hesitate to come out and check out the
venue. We hope to get a little more organized as time goes on and become a listening club for songwriters and their fans. But until we GET some songwriters,
Sherry and I will be there to keep things going!
Remember - If you will need a keyboard to play in order to perform your songs, please call Sherry (931-247-2679) before Wednesday night. That way she won't
have to bring the keyboard if no one is going to use it. :)
We got our first members signed up! Yea! Hope to see you next week, Wednesday, December 13th - 6pm to 8pm!
